Founded in 1904, the Hispanic Society of America is a free museum located in a Beaux Arts building. Its collection contains a large variety of Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American art and artifacts, including those by important Old Masters like Diego Velázquez and Fransisco de Goya. Both its gallery and its rare books library are open to the public.
